Happy Ever After doesn’t end at the Epilogue. The Epilogue is really only the beginning. For us, it’s meant sharing every high, every low, and loving each other even more when we come out the other side still standing. He’s everything I’ve always wanted. My best friend. My lover. My husband…

My Demon.
And I’m his Angel.

Our life hasn’t always been perfect, but to me as long as I get to wake up to Angel in my arms every morning and get to tuck our girls into bed at the end of each day I’ll be the happiest man in the world. Nothing can come between us, nothing can tear us apart.

Only…I have one regret. One that is still a black void in my head.

Every year it’s the same.

The regret.

The self-loathing for the man I was back then.

The anger that I’d taken something from the woman who has given herself to me so freely and being unable to remember a single second of it. This year it’s worse for me. It’s slowly driving me crazy.

Maybe it’s time to hit rewind and give us both a do over for that night.

Maybe what I really need is a memory to replace that empty blackness that is trying to swallow me whole.

The bedroom was empty so I went into the living room. Empty. The door to the balcony was open, letting a slight breeze blow into the room. Outside, lights twinkled and danced in the growing darkness. Faintly I heard laughter coming from the pool in the courtyard.

Drake?”

In here.

Following the sound of his voice, I headed for the dining room, and stopped when I saw the table set for dinner. Candles were already lit, beautiful china in golden rose was set out, and even a bottle of what looked like sparkling cider was in a bucket of ice on the table. None of this had been there when Id gone in for my shower. But it was the man standing in the center of the room who had my breath catching in my throat.

Dressed in a black suit, with his jacket hanging open to reveal his shirt untucked and unbuttoned, Drake looked delicious. Hed taken the man bun down before wed left the house earlier that day, but it was back now. Like me, he was completely barefoot. “I take it we arent going out for dinner, then?”

A lopsided grin played at his lips. Fuck, that grin did dangerous things to my heart. For a second I couldnt catch my breath as he walked toward me. “Well, I have this wife who doesnt like ostentatious places that would be considered romantic. So I figured Id treat her to dinner in tonight.”

G-good idea,” I whispered as he held out his hand. My palm rubbed against his before he clasped his big fingers around it and then pulled me in close. As if by magic, soft jazz music began to play, and I barely noticed when Drake tossed the remote to the stereo that was hidden somewhere in the penthouse.

His free hand went to my waist, and he lifted our joined hands up until they rested over his heart. My heart beat erratically as we started to sway to the music. In all the years wed been together, the times we had gone dancing were few and far between. It was one of my few pleasures that I didnt indulge often. Getting to do so now, with my delicious husbands arms around me as we danced around the room with nothing but candles and moonlight streaming through the windows, was something I would treasure for the rest of my life.

I felt his lips brush over my temple as he hummed along with the song, making his chest vibrate and affecting me in the most primal of ways as my panties became soaked with need for him. The music shifted from one song to another, and everything inside of me melted when I heard our song.

Ahhh... Huss! You and your mind-tripping reads! I bloody love them, and you sure had my head in a spin reading Mr Match! It was amazing to see how much Katya and Oliver were connected. And how almost all loose threads were tied up. It was another complex, sizzling read and I was on edge right until the final page!

Katya, I knew was up to no good right from the start. I did like that she had history with Oliver, but I could see that she was holding back. She was a kind hearted person, looking out for those she loved, but went through events that no tenn should endure.

I liked that Oliver waited for Katya. Even four years earlier he knew she was the one. He was patient, but carried on the rest of his life as normally as he could. He had his own secrets, that took time to reveal, and boy did they catch me by surprise!

The chemistry between Katya and Oliver was off the charts! I loved seeing a little of Oliver’s father (Spencer) in him and how he expressed himself with his artistic flair! That made me swoon, seeing how romantic he could be.

I loved that this final book was set back in Fort Collins. It was good that all the Mister characters were together for the final showdown. I also got tiny glimpses at some of the original characters that made my heart swell for them.

The storyline... a twisted, evilly crafted, mind bender, and gosh how I loved it! It was interesting to see how things were tied together, and how deep it all went! I love the way that J.A. Huss always keeps me guessing. She weaves twist after twist into the story, and you never really know who the good/bad guys are. I'm looking forward to her next project, to see if she can blow my mind even more!

Really, the last line is my favourite part of this swoon!

“I choose you,” he says. His fingertips gently brush against my cheek. “It felt like you were gone forever and now it feels like you never left.”
“It’s funny how that works,” I say.
But he shakes his head slowly as he plays with my hair. “There’s nothing funny about it. It’s just chemistry, Katya. There are so many open roads and we ended up walking this one together. If you think it’s an accident, then you hurt me. There’s no greater purpose for this life than to find the partner who understands your soul.”

From the USA Today Bestselling Authors, A.M. Hargrove and Terri E. Laine comes a new standalone sexy sports romance, Sidelined – A Wilde Players Dirty Romance.

Cassidy

I hate him… I love him… He destroyed me… and now He needs me.

Fletcher Wilde, a gorgeous quarterback in the NFL, is the man I should have married. He’s the one that walked away, choosing football over me. He shouldn’t be back, especially not looking that good. And not sitting in my waiting room chair with a bum leg and confident cocky grin that sets my insides on fire.

It’s impossible to forget how he rocked my world both in and out of the bedroom. Keeping things professional won’t be easy, especially given our history. My mission, however, is getting him back on the field—the place he loved more than me, while not losing myself in him all over again.

Fletcher

Cassidy Miller is the only physical therapist in town. And after a potential career ending injury, she’s my ticket back on the field or my NFL career is over. Unfortunately, she’s the same Cassidy who ripped my heart to shreds when I thought we were a team.

Sexy and intelligent, she’s the last person I thought I’d see again. As it turns out, she looks better than ever, making me want that smart mouth of hers doing things to me that would drive a sane man crazy.

Lucky for me, my determination is legendary. Winning is in my blood, which makes me number one on the field. Being a single-minded man, my focus is to get her back and this time for good.

*Don’t go looking for a lot of football in this book, although there will be several touchdowns. This quick, sexy, second chance love story will ignite your e-reader. Be prepared to sweat a little when you read this hot, fast and frivolous erotic love story!

**Story will end at fifty percent because we’ve added sneak peeks of our latest novels for your reading pleasure.

I have come to love stories written by Terri E. Laine & A.M. Hargrove, so it was a no brainer for me to pick Sidelined! I enjoyed getting to know Cassidy and Fletcher, as their old feelings redeveloped after being apart for seven years. Sidelined was a quick, sizzling read with a touch of suspense that I devoured quickly.

The story begins with Fletcher being in an accident, which eventually leads him into Cassidy's office, so she can help him rehabilitate his injuries. I could see there were old feelings between them that bordered on a love/hate relationship. There's no denying the chemistry that still remains between them but there were a lot of issues they needed to work through as well.

Cassidy had been through a lot since Fletcher left, even now she was dealing with her cheating ex-husband. She deserved some happiness after going through something so difficult, and Fletcher seemed to be the right person to make her happy once again. I loved her determination, as she was working hard to set up her practice and she had the will power to succeed.

Fletcher was determined to get back to the NFL, but being back in his hometown and spending time with Cassidy forced him to realise what he was missing and that he needed to re-evaluate his life goals. I could see the change in this broody, hot headed man the more time he spent with Cassidy.

Sidelined was a very enjoyable second chance romance. I loved the chemistry between Cassidy and Fletcher, and how connected they were over such a short time of being together once again. Terri E. Laine & A.M. Hargrove have once again delivered a pleasant and sexy read, and added a little twist to keep me on edge.

Fletcher... he has a way with words!

“Jesus, Cass, you …” I have to swallow because I’m afraid I’ll drool if I don’t. “You are so beautiful.”

A.M. Hargrove
One day, on her way home from work as a sales manager A. M. Hargrove realized her life was on fast forward and if she didn’t do something soon, it would be too late to write that work of fiction she had been dreaming of her whole life. So she rolled down the passenger window of her fabulous (not) company car and tossed out her leather briefcase. Luckily, the pedestrian in the direct line of fire was a dodge ball pro and had ├╝ber quick reflexes enabling him to avoid getting bashed in the head. Feeling a tad guilty about the near miss, A. M. made a speedy turn down a deserted side street before tossing her crummy, outdated piece-of-you-know-what laptop out the window. She breathed a liberating sigh of relief, picked up her cell phone, called her boss, and quit her job. Grinning, she made another call to her hubs and told him of her new adventure (after making sure his heart was beating properly again).

So began A. M. Hargrove’s career as a Naughty and Nice Romance Author.

Her books include Adult, New Adult and Young Adult Romances, including, The Guardians of Vesturon Series (Survival, Resurrection, Determinant, reEmergent, and the novella Beginnings); Dark Waltz and Death Waltz (The Praestani Novels); The Edge Series (Edge of Disaster, Shattered Edge, and Kissing Fire); The Tragic Series (Tragically Flawed and Tragic Desires); Exquisite Betrayal; Dirty Nights: The Novel; and The Hart Brothers Novels (Freeing Her, Freeing Him, and Kestrel).

Wife and mother of three, I’ve always been an avid reader. In my early years, my best friend and I would tell each other stories over the phone when we were bored. We called them our “soap operas” and generally revolved around whatever boy we liked at the time.

Over five years ago, I got this crazy idea to write a novel and try to publish it. And the rest is history. This journey has been a blessing, and a dream realized. I look forward to many more memories to come.

Enveloping Shadows by Lauren D.M. Smith ~ Review & Quote-tastic (@LaurenDMSmith, @CarinaPress)

A fierce and beautiful warrior.

A man of secrets and shadows.

Only together can they stop the awakening horror.

Rumors of monsters and dark magic are circulating through the court, but Terrwyn is little concerned. Her superb sword skills are all she needs to protect the princess Aricia—and as chief bodyguard, the princess’s safety is Terrwyn’s only mission.

Too late, she realizes her mistake: a stranger cloaked in darkness snatches the princess before Terrwyn can react.

When a handsome stranger emerges from the shadows to save her life, Terrwyn has little choice but to allow him to accompany her. Zelek, shrouded in secrecy and on a mission of his own, has special skills that Terrwyn needs.

Together the warrior and the shadow-whisperer forge a plan to rescue the princess, and find themselves plummeting not only headlong into evil, but into the depths of passion and love.

Honestly, the cover to Enveloping Shadows caught my eye first, and after reading the blurb I was so excited to get into it! I love a good fantasy, with magical elements entwined throughout. Throw in a tough heroine and I'm usually blown away. Enveloping Shadows was a good read with plenty of action, a slow developing romance and an interesting adventure into danger.

Terrwyn embarked on a journey to bring back princess Aricia after she disappeared into the shadows. Terrwyn seemed a little hot headed when only two other guards took the trip with her, and often voiced her opinions about their lack of loyalty. In the end she sucked it up and went on the journey. Soon she was alone and saved by a stranger she met at the palace, and they continued the journey together.

Zelek was my favourite character! He had a special ability that allowed him to communicate with shadows. He was able to use them to go on the right path and alert them of danger. He wasn't battle trained like Terrwyn, but was handy when they needed it. He liked how tough and loyal Terrwyn was from the first time they met, and wanted to get to know her better.

Terrwyn was harder for me to like. She took all the blame for what happened to princess Aricia, even though she was told countless times that she couldn’t have prevented it. She was a little naive, stepping into danger even though she'd been warned, and pushed those away that were genuine. However, she was great in a fight and used her skill and brain when a battle arose.

Unfortunately Enveloping Shadows fell a little flat for me. There was so much inner dialogue, and often repetitive dialogue, that left me a little bored. It felt like something was missing, maybe I just needed more interaction between the characters, conversations etc. The action drew me back in, as they faced all types of hideous monsters! So it had its good moments and its bad ones. I wonder if it was told from the first person perspective, if I would've enjoyed it more.

Complimentary copy provided by the Publisher, via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was a sweet moment between Terrwyn and Zel.

Zel put fingers under her chin and forced her to look at him. His gaze was no less bright as it bored into her eyes. Her brain was sluggish, thoughts fighting as if through water. She didn’t know what it was she wanted to say, only that she wanted to say something. Then he moved.
The hand holding her chin slid back to cradle her neck while his other hand pulled her tight as he pressed his lips down onto hers.

I'm a huge geek, book fiend, and someone who refuses to grow up (Popcorn for dinner is a perfectly legitimate decision. As is sliding down banisters). I have a bad case of wanderlust that has taken me all over the world, I've lived in three countries now and visited many more. This has also led me to have a rather...eclectic series of jobs up until now.

I have finally settled down in a small village just outside of my hometown with my long-suffering husband. He puts up with my bouts of insanity and fan-girling and he even tolerates me forcing him to cosplay.

Right now I work in Kingston in tourism and spend most of my free time reading, writing, binge-watching shows, or swearing up a storm while playing video games.

Dashing through the Snow by M. Leighton ~ Review & Teaser (@mleightonbooks)

Dilyn Hart hates Christmas, so when her boss (and ex-boyfriend) hands her an assignment to interview champion snowboarder and gorgeous playboy extraordinaire, Dash Grainger, on Christmas Eve, she takes it. There are several things she doesn’t plan for—a surly driver, a chalet in the middle of nowhere, a freak snowstorm—but the biggest surprise of all is Dash himself.

Dash Grainger lives for the high, and so far in his twenty-six years, he’s never met anyone or anything he loves more. Nothing has ever thrilled him as much as slick snow, cold air, and breakneck speed.

Until he meets Dilyn.

But one perfect night doesn’t mean clear, blue skies the next day. There are some storms that can’t be weathered.

Christmas Day might just be one of them.

What a fun, sweet and sexy Christmas tale this turned out to be! Although it was a short read I felt that the author did a fantastic job of creating the world and fleshing out the characters. I genuinely liked both of them, and even though their chemistry was immediate, it didn't feel forced.

Dilyn was still nursing an aching heart after her ex broke up with her two years ago. That ex was her current boss and sent her to get a story at a time of year that was difficult for her. What she didn't expect was to find the adrenalin junkie attractive, and to have a spark that she couldn't deny. Dash, well he was a piece of heaven! Sexy, confident and smart. He knew what he wanted and despite what promises he made, was determined to have Dilyn.

These two were amazing together! The chemistry felt real and even when things were difficult between them, I could feel that they were both hurting. In true M. Leighton style, she pieced together a believable story that made you fall in love, along with the characters. It wasn't always easy for them, but I was eager to see them get through to find each other once again. And that epilogue... made my heart ache, but I was left with a huge smile on my face!

Ahhh! There were a few good teasers to share... especially the deconstructed s'more scene, but I thought this was kind of sweet too!

“It doesn’t have to be anything you don’t want it to be. I won’t deny that I’m attracted to you. Holy shit, am I attracted to you. And I won’t deny that I could list a dozen things in ten seconds or less that I’d love to do to you on a cold, snowy night in front of a fire. But I’m not a mindless, horny teenager. I can appreciate the company of a smart, sassy, beautiful woman, enjoying good food and good drink on the side of a mountain in a storm. This night can be whatever you want it to be. Just...stay.”
