Wolf's Mate by Chantal Fernando ~ Review, Giveaway & Teaser Tuesday (@ChantalFernando, @FMR_BG)

I just love this series! The characters are all likeable, and it's not as dark as some MC reads. The banter between Vinnie and Shay had me hooked to the pages! You need to try this series for yourself!

From USA TODAY bestselling author Chantal Fernando comes the latest in her steamy Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club series featuring biker bad boys and the strong women who love them.

Vinnie was once the youngest prospect at the infamous Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club but finally, he’s going to be initiated as a full-fledged member! But when Vinnie (now known as Wolf) puts on that WDMC leather for the first time, little does he know what he’s in for. The Wind Dragons have made enemies, and being a member means being on the front lines…

Chantal Fernando has delivered once again with the fifth book in the Wind Dragons MC series, and sharing with us the story of one of the club favourites, Vinnie (Wolf). He's a well liked character of the women and men from the clubhouse, and I was happy to see him finally find a nice woman of his own. The sexual tension was high, their pasts were troubled and there was a touch of intensity and I was reluctant to put the book down!

Talon called in a favour that he was owed and Vinnie stepped up to watch over Shayla, Talon's cousin. She's in lockdown and appears to be a spoiled and privileged girl, but as always looks can be deceiving. After spending some time together, I could see that there was a connection growing between both Vinnie and Shay, and that no matter what, he wasn't going to walk away from her.

I liked seeing Vinnie step up in this situation, he's been a loner for most of his life but has found his place in the Wind Dragons MC. He has always got along with the women in the MC, but never thought that he would ever have a woman of his own. I liked the change in him as he spent more time with Shay, and how his protective instincts kicked in to protect her.

Shay was just what Vinnie needed, she challenged him and got under his skin. She also showed her sweet and vulnerable side and that's what brought them together. I enjoyed the banter and the flirting between them, it built the tension between them and soon their connection became physical.

The developing relationship between Vinnie and Shay was the main focus in this book, but I would've liked to learn more about their pasts, particularly Vinnie. I can see what a good man he is but his past is still a mystery other than the glossed over details that he shared. There was a touch of danger that had everyone on edge as well. I think that Chantal Fernando wove this story well, I just wanted a little more depth into the characters pasts to understand them better. This MC series is not as dark as a lot of MC series, and I think that's why I like it so much.

A few little teasers today. The first has some flirty banter...

“Are you grumpy because you’re sexually frustrated?” I ask, sucking on the spoon. “Because I can take care of that for you if you want. I’m really good with my mouth.”

Vinnie staking his claim!

“She yours?” Sin asks, his words short but heavy. This is the question that the brothers will want to know the answer to more than anything.
“Yeah,” I say, swallowing hard. “She’s mine.”

Shay realising she will always be Vinnie's.

“Because Vinnie is a Wind Dragon, Shay. You’re his, and they always come for what’s theirs.”
