A year after losing her husband, Joker, the squadron commander of the Wild Aces, Dani Peterson gets an offer from his best friend, Alex “Easy” Rogers, to help fix up her house. Dani accepts, and their friendship grows—along with an undeniable attraction.

Racked by guilt for loving his best friend’s widow, Easy’s caught between what he wants and can’t have. Until one night everything changes, and the woman who’s always held his heart ends up in his arms. Yet as Easy leaves for his next deployment, he and Dani are torn between their feelings and their loyalty to Joker’s memory.

But when Dani discovers something that sends them both into a spin, the conflicted lovers must overcome the past to navigate a future together…

OMG guys! This book... It brought tears to my eyes in the opening few chapters. My heart was aching for what Dani lost, and for what Easy wanted. But gradually, over the course of the book, my chest started to ache less and began to swell with happiness! I knew these two would find happiness together, and the way they slowly forgave themselves and put the past behind them was beautiful.

If you've been on the journey from the beginning, I'm sure that you love Dani and Easy just like I do (although, I'm a naughty girl and haven't read the first book). I know that Dani has been through a traumatic time, and is finding it hard to find her place in the world missing the one person she was supposed to be with until the end. She was doing her best to put the past behind her, making changes to set up her future. But but was difficult and in the end Easy swooped in to help. Just seeing the companionship he offered was so sweet, and Dani didn't feel as lonely any more.

Easy – we all know – has been in love with Dani for a long time. She has always been off limits, because he's not the type of guy to steal a girl, especially one of his closest friends' wives. He has helped Dani through a lot of her darkest times, and planned to remain just a friend, even though it pained him. It was so sweet to see him comfort Dani, help her around the home and to hang out together. I liked seeing their friendship strengthen once again and the changes that were bringing them together. So of course it was going to be hot and heavy when they got together, and emotional! It was a huge step for Dani, so of course it would throw her into a spin.

On Broken Wings was superb from beginning to end, watching the change in both characters and for them to give into their desires. I loved seeing how caring Easy was with Jordan and Noah's baby... talk about swoon moment right there! And the emotion that ran through him as he asked Dani to call him by his real name!! OMG! It was frustrating at times because everyone seemed to push Easy away from Dani, trying to get him to pick up other girls and move on. But the heart wants what the heart wants, and he always came back to Dani. I love that Chanel Cleeton a way of creating characters and a world that seems all too real. This book was everything I needed to tie up the series, and I am sad it's all come to an end.

Ooooh... how I loved Easy getting all authoritative!

Easy stood in front of me, staring down at me, that look in his eyes again. And then his fingers grazed my knee through the denim, drifting higher, higher, stroking the inside of my thigh, sucking the air from the room.
“I want you naked.”
